This enchanting view of gondolas moored in front of the Library of St. Mark’s in Venice is the largest of the all etchings which William Walcot made during his visit to this enchanting city under the aegis of the Fine Art Society. A beautifully atmospheric work, this remains one of William Walcot’s most sought-after Venetian etchings.
On cream wove paper, watermarked J. Green & Son, with full margins and deckle edge. Very fine original condition. |
